A Heritage Committee has been established to ensure that St Kilda Cemetery’s rich history is preserved for future generations.  

The primary objective of the committee is to develop and review policy in relation to recording significant historic artifacts and documents and to make recommendations as to their preservation.

Recognising the historical significance of St Kilda Cemetery, Heritage Victoria included the site on the Heritage Register on the 14th October 2004.
