In November 2007, the Trust adopted and Environment Management Policy to confirm its commitment to operating all its cemeteries in an environmentally responsible, sensitive and ecologically sustainable manner.

As well as meeting legislative and regulatory environmental obligations and codes of practice, the policy proactively seeks to minimise all potentially negative impacts of our business on the natural environment.

Necropolis has developed this policy to include environmental needs in a balanced scorecard approach to the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of its cemeteries.
